Hands-on review: ZVEX Effects Fuzz Probe

I got this guitar at my local store for 600 dollars brand new.

This guitar has a beautiful blue quilted maple body. I love the unique looking headstock. I also like the maple fretboard, and i like the feel of the neck. The guitar sounds great. I like the neck pickup for lead stuff, and the bridge pickup gives a lot of bottom end for the clean blues stuff. The action is good.

The floyd rose bridge and end nuts were a little confusing at first, but i got used to it. The D tuner doesn't work that well. It sometimes has tuning problems. It's hard to re-string, and time consuming.

Quality is good considering it's a foreign model. I give it a 8.5 out of 10. It looks well made. I'm not a guitar guru, but it looks good to me.

This guitar isn't for everyone, but i love it. It looks beautiful, feels good to play, and the sound quality is good. If you haven't played one, don't rule it out just because it's foreign. You get what you pay for with this guitar.
